Neonatal stage

From birth until first week of life.
They only have the sense of taste, smell and touch.
Their mother will lick them to stimulate them to pee and poo.

Transition stage

From the first week until the second week of life.
The kitten will pee without help.
Starts to explore.

Socialization stage

From 2 weeks to 2 months of life approximately.
They develop completely their senses.
It’s the most important stage to expose your cat to environmental stimulus and get him to know other animals and people.
Ends when kittens start to be afraid.
It´s the most important stage to prevent behavior problems.

Juvenile stage

From 2 months until puberty.

Don’t forget that exposing the mother to stimulus also influences the development of the fetus, so you should avoid stress and give her lots of cuddles in the prenatal stage!
